Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Showgazed ("we," "us," "our") collects when you use the Showgazed app (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Showgazed, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

  • Account info: your email address, handle, and display name.
  • Content you create: the shows you log, ratings, reviews, and comments you post.
  • Profile photo: an avatar image, if you choose to add one.
  • Usage analytics: how you interact with the app (screens viewed, features used, general counts and timing) — never the content of your reviews or search queries.

2. How we use it

We use this information to run the Service — creating your account, showing your logs and reviews to people who follow you, powering your feed, and letting you find and follow friends — and to improve it, by understanding which features are used and where things break.

3. What we don't do

We don't sell your personal data. We don't use it for ad tracking, and we don't run third-party advertising in Showgazed.

4. Service providers

We use a small number of service providers to run Showgazed. Each only receives the data it needs to do its job:

Supabase Hosting, database, and authentication — stores your account and app data.
Resend Delivers our account emails (signup confirmations, password-reset codes). Receives your email address and the message contents; nothing else.
PostHog Product analytics — helps us understand how the app is used.
Cloudflare Hosts this website (showgazed.com).
Anthropic When you log a show, the text you type — or the ticket photo you scan — is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to pick out the artist, venue, and date. Scanned photos are processed for that one purpose and are never stored by Showgazed or used to train AI models.
setlist.fm Looked up when you log a show, to help fill in artist, venue, and date details. We keep only basic event facts (artist, venue, city, date, and a reference ID) — never setlists.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app, which removes your account and your content. You can also email us at hello@showgazed.com to request deletion.

6. Children's privacy

Showgazed is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll post the updated policy here with a new effective date.
