These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Showgazed (the "Service"), operated by the Showgazed team ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Showgazed.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Showgazed. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. Showgazed is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly allow them to create accounts.
2. Accounts
Showgazed is currently invite-based — you need an invitation from an existing member or the Showgazed team to sign up. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account, including keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs through your account, whether or not you authorized it. Let us know right away at hello@showgazed.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Your content
You own the show logs, ratings, reviews, comments, photos, and anything else you post to Showgazed ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant Showgazed a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content as part of operating and promoting the Service — for example, showing your reviews to people who follow you, or featuring a log on a shared page. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where copies reasonably persist in backups for a limited period.
You're responsible for what you post. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share, or anything that violates someone else's rights.
4. Acceptable use
Showgazed has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. When using the Service, you agree not to:
- Post content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, sexually explicit involving minors, or that promotes violence against people or groups;
- Harass, bully, stalk, or abuse other users;
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- Post spam, scams, or content that infringes someone else's intellectual property;
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts.
We rely on user reports to help keep Showgazed safe. Content that violates these rules may be removed, and accounts that violate these rules — including accounts that post objectionable content or engage in abusive behavior — may be suspended or terminated, at our discretion and without advance notice.
5. Moderation and termination
We may review, remove, or restrict access to any content, and suspend or terminate any account, at our sole discretion — including for violations of these Terms, at the request of law enforcement or other government agencies, for extended inactivity, or if we discontinue the Service. You may delete your own account at any time from Settings in the app.
6. Concert data attribution
When you log a show, Showgazed may look up event details from third-party sources, including setlist.fm, to help fill in artist, venue, and date information. Concert data shown during logging comes from setlist.fm and is used under their API terms; that data belongs to its respective providers and Showgazed doesn't claim ownership over it. Showgazed also uses Anthropic's Claude to interpret what you type or scan while logging a show (see the Privacy Policy for details).
7. No warranty
Showgazed is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data (including your logs and reviews) will never be lost.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Showgazed and its team won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or $50 if you haven't paid us anything.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll post the updated Terms here with a new effective date. Continuing to use Showgazed after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
