Hi, I'm Harrison.
Years ago, a friend showed me a spreadsheet where they'd logged every concert they'd been to since they were 18. Hundreds of rows. I was impressed, and a little jealous. I'd been to at least as many shows and had no record at all.
Actually, I had one once. I used to save my ticket stubs and collage them into posters to hang on the wall. When tickets turned into barcodes on a phone, that habit died with them. I'd snap a photo at each show so I could go back and remember it, but those sank into an endless camera roll.
Shows have been a constant for most of my life. Moving to Austin for college in 2005 meant seeing them regularly. I'd be at a venue multiple times per week, looking forward to weekends at festivals, and learning to survive SXSW like a pro. I go to fewer shows now, but they mean just as much. Somewhere in there I realized I wished I'd started that spreadsheet twenty years ago.
In 2025 I took up designing and building software as a hobby, and I needed a project to learn on. The idea was sitting right there. After several iterations and one long hunt for a name, it became an iOS app, and in August 2026 Showgazed went live on the App Store.
Showgazed is a side project. The team is me, and I pay the bills to keep it running. I spend nights and weekends here and there improving the app, logging old shows while digging back through my camera roll, or sharing it with friends on the ride home from our newest favorite concert. I plan to keep it going for as long as I'm going to shows, and I don't intend to stop going to shows.
